For the Love of Dog – 2011

This was the Body of Work I submitted for my first year of the degree. I grew up owning dogs and I wanted to capture the characters of the dogs that meant so much to me. Every animal has its own unique character, and being a pet owner allows you a special in-depth glance at the expressions and funny foibles animals have.

Nedjem the Egyptian Cat – 2012

I wrote a story last year about a spoilt Egyptian Cat called Nedjem. In the story he visits the lives of 3 very different cats (a lonely, wealthy cat, a hungry, stray cat and a humble, house cat) on a journey to discover that he has it good back home.

I have yet to finish illustrating the story, but here are a couple of pages.

Cat O’ Four Tails – Cat themed Deck of cards – 2012 This project stemmed from the Nedjem the Egyptian cat story. I chose four different themes and redesigned an entire deck of cards cat style. The themes were:

  • Pirate Cats
  • Egyptian Cats
  • Witchcraft Cats
  • Cowboy Cats

This project was my first venture into the design side of the degree, I had previously been working under traditional methods only. I did however use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator in High School.
